How to seed back to private trackers - A complete guide

Hello guys.
So I see a lot of you have problems in seeding torrents back to DT and often keep asking how to enable seeding? This is my attempt to help you seed torrents of DT and other private tracker websites.

!. Setting up a fixed IP address

This is extremely important if you want to seed torrents to a website like DT or other private trackers. You need to set up a fixed IP address. If you're on Windows 10 -

a. Open command prompt
b. Type "ipconfig/all" (without quotes)
c. Take a screenshot of all your network configuration details or note it down somewhere.
d. Open the settings of your LAN or Wifi connection
e. Go to your Wifi network and select edit under IP settings
f. Change IP assignment from Automatic (DHCP) to fixed
g. Enter the iPv4 address, subnet prefix length ( enter 24 in most cases), gateway and DNS servers details from the network configuration details you obtained via the command prompt (Step b and Step c)

2. Setting up the torrent client

I use qbittorent and my guide is applicable for the same.

a. Open settings in qbitorrent
b. Go to torrent settings and uncheck DHT, Peer exchange, Local peer discovery and anonymous mode - all four are one below another
c. Go to advanced and enter your fixed IP address in "Optional Address to bind". Also enter your fixed IP address in "IP Address to report to trackers"
d. Click Apply and then OK

3. Router set up

Just ensure that your router has uPnP enabled
